The proposal for the following project are suitable for the area near Umouru Village / UGA Community.
The field site is over 1,000 Ha, named as: Eziagu Land. The Obizi Stream and Umura River are crossing the farm. Also, lake Abo is there.
The area looks fine, including the access road. Water is available, unlimited- year-round. Bush clearing must be done, as well as topographic survey t0 enable choosing the best project location and proper civil engineering design.
The projects can be independent or all together. Executing 2 or more projects, will save huge investment in common facilities such as pumping station, packing-house, cooling facilities, management and overhead, and others.
The suggested production units are as follow:
Project 1: 250 MT (Live weight) Tilapia production, at a total cost of 4,855,000 USD.
Project 2: 1,000 heads bull’s meat production project + 100 Ha irrigated field- crops unit, at a total cost of 5,630,000 USD.
Optional: slaughterhouse and meat processing plant: 3,000,000 USD.
Project 3: 40 Ha irrigated fruit plantation (banana, pineapple) project, at a total cost of 5,750,000 USD.
Project 4: 40 Ha greenhouse & open-field vegetables production project, at a total cost of 5,965,000 USD.
Project 5: 10,000,000 eggs production per year, at a total cost of 4,945,000 USD. Optional: feed-mill: 1,800,000 USD.
Project 6: 1,000 Ha Irrigated Grain and Field Crops Production, at a total cost of 14,800,000 USD.
Supporting Facilities
Farm-Center, Pumping station & Infrastructure:
Each one of the above described project, will includes its facilities and infrastructure like pumping station, water reservoir, water treatment unit, buildings like residence, offices, dining room, etc.
Executing 2 project or more, can save investment by sharing part of the Supporting Facilities.
